How To Make Fresh Apple Juice

Do you have a ton of apple trees in your yard that produce a large of number of apples year in and year out?  Do you wish there was something you could do with those apples instead of just running them over every year with the lawnmower?  Well if you ever had a taste of fresh apple juice before and would like to make your own, your in luck because you"ve got just about everything you need out in your yard to make the freshest, best tasting apple juice possible.  This article will give you the steps for making apple juice on a basic level. The first step is to gather up as many apples as possible so that you"ve got a pretty good amount to work with.  Typically, the best way for gathering up apples is with plastic pails.  The most common size pail you see today is 5 gallons which is a nice amount of apples to start off with.  Fill up as many pails as you can and then you can move onto the next step. The next optional step is to core the apples which makes it easier to crush the apples.  If you don"t want to core the apples, that is OK too.  When have all of your apples ready, it will be time to get the apple press ready.  The apple press should have a cloth that can be used as a filter as it is coming out of the press and into a pail or some sort of container below the press.  This will remove any dirt and debris from the juice as it is passing through the filter. As you continuously press the apples, you"ll see the amount of juice in your container continue to rise as well.  When you"ve got a full container of apple juice, place it in the refrigerator to chill.  When you run out of apples, pick up more and continue the cycle over again until you are out of apples, or your too tired to press anymore! When you"re done you"ll have gallons and gallons of fresh, great tasting apple juice to server fresh or to freeze and save for later.  The next time you"re wondering what to do with all of those apples in the yard, consider making yourself some fresh apple juice.
